In continuation of his vast body of work exploring portraits of Nigerian musicians in past and recent history, this is a portrait by Adewale Kolawole John of the Lijadu Sisters, twin musicians from Nigeria who achieved success in the United States. The Lijadu Sisters and Fela Kuti were cousins. John uses this portrait to pay tribute to the sisters, particularly Kehinde Lijadu who passed away in 2019.
