Ladi Kwali (1925–1984) was a Nigerian potter celebrated for her exceptional skills in traditional pottery and her significant contributions to the global art scene. Born in the Gwari region, Kwali's talent blossomed through traditional Gwari pottery techniques. She gained international recognition in the 1950s, exhibiting her work in Europe and the United States. Kwali's artistry seamlessly blended traditional Nigerian pottery with contemporary aesthetics, earning her accolades for preserving cultural heritage while embracing innovation.
